Neighbors Food Pantry of Wonder Lake

The Food Trust funded and/or sponsored by Rotary Club of McHenry, Neighbors Food Pantry of Wonder Lake and Northern Illinois Food Bank was a great success. Notwithstanding the 90 degree heat, organizing and distributing the food were more than 27 volunteers from the Rotary Club of McHenry, Neighbors Food Pantry of Wonder Lake, Northern Illinois Food Bank and other local residents (and not so local – thank you Felix Curtis). The Food Truck also served many participants. Nativity Lutheran Church made their facilities available. Many thanks to all! Charitable contributions like this are funded from the proceeds of fundraisers like Blues, Brews and Barbecue (August 18-20, 2017 in Petersen Park) through the Rotary Club of McHenry Charitable Foundation, Inc., which funded the food truck through Neighbors Food Pantry of Wonder Lake and the Northern Illinois Food Bank.
