ImaBridge Africa (IBA) recently visited Nigeria. IBA is a faith-based charity dedicated to building transformational relationships between people from dissimilar communities, the privileged and the underprivileged.  IBA is called to aid the African rural poor in developing skills, knowledge, attitudes and experience for self-reliance and the capacity to work together to solve their challenges.  IBA’s mission is guided by the worldwide 2015 UN Millennium Goals.  IBA’s mission is to provide financial and human resources for projects that empower the poor to eradicate extreme poverty, promote gender equality, reduce child and maternal mortality, and ensure environmental sustainability.

On Thursday, February 2, 2017, IBA made a presentation to the Rotary Club of McHenry regarding their recent visit. The IBA team members who visited Nigeria included Cecilia Adams, Christine Carrington (Vice President), Rev. Fr. Godwin Nsikan-Ubom Asuquo (Pastor of Saint Patrick Church in McHenry and Founding Director of IBA), and Carl Smith (Board Member).  The areas in which IBA contributions are made include Health, Education, Clean Water, and Micro Finance.  IBA’s presentation can be found at Rotary Presentation - Mission Trip 2017.pptx
