McHENRY ROTARY LEARNS OF NEW LOCAL BREWERY

The Rotary Club of McHenry welcomed Curt Ames, a 30 year veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, who has recently opened his own brewery in McHenry.
Curt has had a passion for crafting beers for almost 40 years and has worked diligently since his discharge from the Marines to have a first class craft beer brewery. His business, Chain O’Lakes Brewing Company, is located at 3425 Pearl Street in downtown McHenry. Club members were treated to a taste of his latest creations. His business only serves beers and conversation. When he displayed his menu, Phil Sweeney, who invited him to be the program, commented, “that’s my social calendar.” Ames spoke at our regular club meeting, Thursday noon, March 6th, at the McHenry County Club. He is shown in the attached photograph with Phil Sweeney, the club member who arranged for him to be our program.
