Program: Glenda Miller, from the McHenry County Treasures office educated us on local real estate taxes. She explained the 2 year lag on invoices, how dollar amounts are determined, legislation, PTEL, exemptions, State equalizers, deferrals and auctions. The County sends out 137,875 tax bills and takes in over $800 million and then distributes the money to the taxing bodies.  Less than 2% of property owners pay late and it takes about 2 ½ years to loss a property by a tax lean.

50/50  Bill McLemore’s prayer was answered as he drew the white marble winning $54 dollars.Bill, it’s all yours, since Lori wasn’t attending today!  Everyone promises to keep your secret and  thus, very   fair to all concerned.
