President Webb welcomed 21 to today’s meeting at the PLAV and delegated leading the Pledge to Terry Fitzgibbons, the 4-way to Mayor Low, the song had a hint of Irish as Sweeney lead us and Mike Hein said a Prayer.

Jan. 31st McHenry Co. workforce has a job fair in Woodstock

We agreed today on sending the Sunrise Club $100 toward the St. Pats Parade expenses.

The Club will be sending two students to RYLA, Terry has asked the East Campus teachers for recommendations.

Happy Dollars     Arvidson for heading to Fl. and for their 50th Wedding Anniversary in Feb.,  Ms. Veronica for her new pretty pink light-up shoes, Ron for becoming a Wonderlake Food Pantry Board member, Lori for heading out to Atlanta and D.C. to visit grand kids,  Donna for all of the thoughts and Prayers for her son Jordan and for the upcoming trip to Florida.

Fun & Frolics      Lori Lowe used an assortment of Illinois natural phenomena’s to entertain and fine everyone.  The largest tornado was the Tri-State in 1925, coldest day -36 Deg. in 1999, hottest day was in 1954 at 117 Deg., in 79 we had a single snowfall of 41” and in 68 an earthquake registered 5.4.  Great Job Lori !

Program     A Club Assembly, led by Pres. Webb included discussions on  BB&B including an updated budget, a sponsor brochure ready in Feb. which we will need everyone’s help  distributing, a complete Band line up,  and most of last year’s major sponsors are on board already.   The 5k run will be moved to another date TBD.  $10,000 has been left in the BB&B account for next year’s startup, leaving $25,000 in the general fund which in turn moved $11,000 to The Rotary Club of McHenry Foundation Inc.  discussions also took place on Vocational and Academic scholarships.

 

50/50   Past Pres. Kathy had the ticket and anxiously drew 2 colored marbles, to no avail.
